Founders Note
Address’ is both a verb and a noun. As a noun, it means a location, a place, a home. As a verb, it means – to proactively tackle an issue.
We chose AddressHealth as a name to reflect both
- To create new addresses for health- at school, at the workplace, at home
- To get people to stop being reactive to health issues and address them proactively.
While computing moved from mainframe to mobile within a century, Healthcare is still stuck in mainframe hospital centric care. Hospitals are large institutions addressing complex medical problems. Their raison d’ etre is to address sickness. Mainframes cannot be entrusted with addressing health. It needs new organizations- nimble, proactive and located inside communities.
