In its mission to gift the children of India a healthy future, AddressHealth is partnered and powered by India’s most active seed stage impact fund Unitus Seed Fund. Unitus Seed invests in start-ups serving large, underserved low-income populations, also helping them ‘prepare for growth’ using seed funding, strategic and operational support, providing critical connections, and securing growth capital. The funds Investors feature illustrious names such as Mr. Bill Gates, Mr. Mohandas Pai, Mr.RanjanPai and Mr. V Balakrishnan.
In May 2016, AddressHealth raised a round of funding from Gray Matters Capital for the prupose of expanding its reach and impact. Gray Matters Capital (GMC) is an Impact Investing Enterprise that actively invests in sustainable, replicable business models that benefit underserved populations in developing countries. GMC was founded by Bob Pattillo with a mission stated as “An education for 100 million women by 2036 that leads to a purpose-filled life”. Bob Pattillo is an entrepreneur and founder of a variety of impact funds and enterprises: Gray Ghost Ventures, Gray Matters Capital, First Light Ventures, Sanabel, and Gray Ghost Microfinance Fund, and co-founder of Village Capital and Intrapreneur Development Experience (IDEX).
AddressHealth has won the Stars in Global Health-7 awarded by the Grand Challenges Canada. The award is in recognition of our innovative work in school health, specifically the tele-enabled school health centers we are setting up in schools. Grand Challenges Canada is funded by the Government of Canada and is dedicated to supporting Bold Ideas with Big Impact in global health.
