Science textbooks should include the personal and intellectual struggles of great scientists during their lifetime along with the list of their achievements. Focusing on the struggles of scientists and how they overcame them helps students to relate to them, motivates them to learn and improve their grades in science. This is especially true for students who struggle to get good grades. Otherwise they dismiss the achievements of great scientists as the product of a genius mind or an innate ability which they do not have.
