The American Psychological Association (APA) in a recent report outlines the 20 most important psychological concepts that enhance teaching and learning from elementary to secondary school. This report also gives specific tips on how to apply them in the classroom.
The principles are organized into 5 areas –
- How do students think and learn?
- What motivates them?
- Why are social context, interpersonal relations and emotional well being important to learning?
- How can the classroom best be managed?
- How can teachers assess student progress?
