The impact of Disney princesses is visible if you attend a little girl’s party or just check out her belongings – all pink and purple, with various princesses on it. A recent study has shown that exposure to Disney princesses does have an impact on their behavior too. It encourages the female stereotype behavior like being shy, quiet, caring, pretend cooking and cleaning, avoiding risks, avoiding getting dirty etc. Boys exposed to princesses also show some amount of inclination towards feminine stereotypes.

But while this is bad for girls, it may be good for boys in the long run!

As parents we need to talk about the positive behavior of these princesses to take the focus away from how they look and dress.
